Terms of Use
What Episteme is
Episteme is a free cognitive diagnostic for IB Mathematics, currently offered as an early-stage product to validate demand and calibrate its question bank. By using it you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the Service.
Not affiliated with the IB
International Baccalaureate®, Baccalauréat International®, Bachillerato Internacional® and IB® are registered trademarks owned by the International Baccalaureate Organization. Episteme is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to the International Baccalaureate Organization.
What the diagnostic is — and isn't
- The report is an informational study aid: an inference about your thinking patterns based on 15 questions taken at one moment in time.
- It is not a prediction, guarantee, or official assessment of any actual IB examination result, and not a substitute for your teachers' guidance or the IB's own materials.
- Parts of the report narrative are generated with AI assistance and may contain imperfections; the underlying scoring is deterministic.
Fair use
The Service is for personal, non-commercial use. Don't attempt to disrupt it, flood or abuse its endpoints, scrape it at scale, or misuse the AI features. We may restrict access that harms the Service or other users.
Your report, our content
The PDF report generated for you is yours to keep and share privately. The Service itself — questions, diagnostic engine, misconception taxonomy, design, and all other content — belongs to Episteme and may not be reproduced or reused commercially without permission.
Waitlist
Joining the waitlist expresses interest in future features. It is not a purchase, does not create any entitlement, and future products may change, be delayed, or never ship. How we handle your email is described in the Privacy Policy.
No warranties, limited liability
The Service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Episteme is not liable for any damages arising from use of the Service — including decisions made in reliance on a diagnostic report.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves; the date above reflects the current version. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
Governing law & contact
